The (Knox) Traditional Strings et al

Welcome to our web page!

The Traditional Strings is a musical group made
up of musicians from the Hilltowns southwest of
Albany NY. We play jigs, reels, hornpipes,
traditional Irish, Canadian music, and some folk
music. We started at the Knox Store in Knox
NY in 1997, playing in front of the milk and beer
cooler every other Friday night for 5 years. We
moved on to playing where we are invited. We
play hammered dulcimer, fiddle, piano, tin
whistle, guitar, bass, keyboard, mandolin,
spoons, and more.
